WHAT’S NEW?
My show is up! “Face Forward: Portraits from a Pandemic” is hanging at Ukiah Valley Networking Agency, 104 N School Street, through October 30th.
I have had two events already with two more scheduled: On Sunday October 17 from 1 - 4 PM, Meet the Artist. I will be onsite drawing, demonstrating the Loomis method for drafting a head, and giving away artwork. On Saturday, October 30 from 3 - 6 PM, a closing reception.
Mahan from Sktchy has caught the attention of many of us working in a variety of media for her use of light and angle to enhance the moods she so well conveys. Here are five drawings and one painting…and I have a couple more saved reference photos!
Another Sktchy artist, Becka generously shares a great selection of photos for us to work from; they range from sentimental to noir, all beautifully lit, and offering me opportunities to work in various drawing media.
